Instructions for a performance
16mm film and projector, piece of felt, balloon, cardboard box, fisherman's thread, palm tree
Conceived as a set of instructions to guide a choreography of objects through the structure of a projected film, the work was activated by Japanese collective Plus Screening —
Rei Hayama, Takashi Makino and Shinkan Tamaki. They presented it in different cities of Japan as part of a programme curated by Takashi Makino. The work explores projection as situation and the partial abdication of authorial control in favour of accident, chance or unforeseen circumstances.
